Frequently asked questions

  1. What is a home watch service?
Home watch is a professional visual inspection of your vacant home, checking for issues such as leaks, mold, pests, and security concerns. We give you peace of mind while you’re away.

  2. Are you insured, and bonded?
Yes — Florida Home Guardian is insured, and bonded. This means your property is protected and your trust is safeguarded.

  3. How often do you visit my home?
Depending on the package selected, we have weekly, bi-monthly, or monthly visits, but we can customize a schedule that fits your needs and HOA or insurance requirements.

  4. How will I receive reports?
After each visit, you’ll receive a detailed digital report with photos, so you know exactly how your home looks.

  5. What’s the difference between a home inspector and a home watcher?
A home inspector performs a one-time, detailed inspection when buying or selling a house. A home watcher provider makes ongoing visits while the home is vacant to ensure everything is safe, secure, and well-maintained.

  6. What happens if you find a problem?
We’ll contact you immediately, document the issue with photos, (videos if necessary) and coordinate solutions — whether that means calling your preferred contractor or managing the emergency ourselves.

  7. Do you offer storm preparation or post-storm checks?
Yes this can be added to the Basic or Plus package and is included with the Vacation and Elite package. We secure your property before storms and inspect afterward for damage, giving you peace of mind during Florida’s hurricane season.

  8. Can you help with special requests?
Yes! We offer add-ons like running vehicles, coordinating contractors, grocery shopping, or preparing your home for arrival.
